An Amazing Summer

For my first post I thought I'd share what a great summer we had. It all started with a trip through the Bountiful Temple. Mason and I took out our Endowments and were Sealed to our children on June 12th. After 7 years of marriage, we finally made our family Eternal. It was such a wonderful experience, and seeing my two sweet boys walk into the Sealing room was incredible. {sniff}

As you can see I was HUGELY pregnant for the event, in fact I had contractions every 7-10 minutes the entire time we were there. LOL

Here is a pic of the boys getting their wiggles out once we left the Temple and were getting ready for family pictures of the event. Total Goofballs!!

Three days later I woke up, got showered and dressed and we headed to the hospital for my induction. We got there about 6:30 am and was admitted. They got me in my room and dressed in my super awesome hospital gown. I started to prepare myself mentally for the day ahead when they came in to start my IV. 8 tries and a call to the anesthesiologist later, I was in business.

The contractions started right away and from there it was just a waiting game. The Dr came in around 8:30 and broke my bag of water. That's always one of my least favorite parts. If you've had a baby, you know what I mean. ICK.

I decided I wasn't going for superstar laborer and got my epidural right away. It was a dream labor, no pain, lots of rest. Just hanging out with Mason and my mom.

The nurse started to ask me if I was having any pressure around {ohno brainfart, I don't remember when he was born} N-E-ways.... I didn't have any pressure, all I knew was my epidural wasn't working very well anymore. I warned the nurse that Caleb was delivered by the nurse, because my practice push was the only one I needed. So she called the Dr to come on over. There were no practice pushes. The Dr got there and I went into my "I want to just go home" "I've changed my mind" stage. My mom reminded Mase that I had done the same thing with Caleb right before I had him too. LOL Then we had 3-4 pushes and Cannon Boyd was born. The only reason it took that many pushes was his shoulder got hung up a little.

He weighed 7lbs 5 oz was 19.5" long and had lots of BLOND hair. My littlest baby and shortest labor. WOOT

The blond hair really through me for a loop. The two older boys both had soft brown hair, then here comes this little toe head. Cole loved him right away, Caleb was nervous of him, and didn't want to get too close for quite some time. See how nervous he is in the photo. LOL such a momma's boy!

We've been to two family reunions (one was just me and the 3 boys for two nights in Wyoming while Mase was in Arkansas when Cannon was just 4 weeks old). Cole and Caleb were in a rodeo, thankfully neither of them caught a prize (kittens and chickens). We've gone camping, swimming, visited Antelope Island and just had a wonderful summer.
