A Weekend in Savannah

We had such a fun weekend away last week. Spent a few VERY windy hours on the beach digging in the sand and collecting seashells. Lots of jelly fish were washed up so we had to be careful by the water. Campbell thought running from dad was amazing and kept Mason on his toes. Cannon and I took a walk down the beach counting jelly fish and Cole and Caleb dug huge holes trying to make foot baths. After being sufficiently sand blasted by the wind we decided to head back to the hotel to try out the pool. FREEZING cold pool, scalding hot whirlpool. it was a pretty big bummer. That night we went to the Pirate House downtown for dinner. It was delicious. Housed in the oldest building in Georgia. The kids thought it was great because of the pirate hat menus. Mason and I both had amazing food. He had the sweet chili salmon with mashed sweet potatoes and I had their award winning fried chicken with pecan sauce and mixed veg.

After all that food we spent a good 90mins wandering the streets of downtown Savannah checking out the nightlife. Cole and I thought tattoo's would be a fun way to remember the trip ;) but alas, something about it being illegal to tat up children... I don't know LOL

The next morning we ate breakfast in the hotel and got all packed up to leave. Before heading out of town though I had to get some pictures around the amazing fountain in Forsyth park. We struck gold and managed to get a fantastic new family photo. I can't wait to go back *heart*
